We are looking for a leader of our Embedded Software department, who will drive the development of our embedded software technology and contribute to cutting edge solutions for radar systems.

You will lead a team of ~25 embedded software developers in the following fields:

Bare metal base software / driver / BSP development (using C)
Embedded Linux development
Embedded Linux baseline, middleware and application development (using C++)
Implementation of hardware accelerated algorithms (using low level language)
Automated system testing

You will grow this team in the next years – taking this company with us to the next level.

Your Tasks

You are responsible for coordinating projects and prioritizing tasks between the embedded software department and the automotive / traffic applications software departments, with strong customer focus
Also, you have to lead the teams within your department by developing and maintaining strong teamwork mindset in collaboration with the group leaders and with other departments
This includes coaching, motivating, managing and giving technical guidance to the team members
You support the development and maintenance of software testing processes handled by our DevOps team
You should strive for effectiveness in using the engineering resources and maintain high quality of the developed code
As the department leader you will report directly to the CEO

Your Strengths

Completed Master or PhD. in the field of software engineering, computer science or similar
You are a very experienced senior in software technology, development methods & tools, software architecture, CI/CD, embedded Linux and C++
Also, a deep understanding of embedded hard- and software
You commit to achieve schedules and milestones and to spread this spirit into all teams
Therefore, you can show high social and leadership skills, next to a strong motivation and result-driven personality
You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to take on mentoring roles and organize feedback
Next to fluent English skills, German would be a plus

Wir suchen einen Leiter (m/w/d) für unsere Abteilung Embedded Software, der die Entwicklung unserer Embedded-Software-Technologie vorantreibt und zu innovativen Lösungen für Radarsysteme beiträgt.

Du leitest ein Team von ca. 25 Embedded-Software-Entwicklern in den folgenden Bereichen:
o Bare-Metal-Basissoftware-/Treiber-/BSP-Entwicklung (mit C)
o Embedded-Linux-Entwicklung
o Embedded-Linux-Baseline-, Middleware- und Anwendungsentwicklung (mit C++)
o Implementierung von hardwarebeschleunigten Algorithmen (mit Low-Level-Sprache)
o Automatisierte Systemtests

Du wirst dieses Team in den nächsten Jahren weiter ausbauen und unser Unternehmen damit auf die nächste Stufe bringen.

Deine Aufgaben

Du bist für die Koordination von Projekten und die Priorisierung von Aufgaben zwischen der Abteilung "Embedded Software" und den Abteilungen Automobil-/Verkehrsanwendungssoftware verantwortlich, mit einem starken Fokus auf den Kunden
Zudem musst Du die Teams innerhalb Deiner Abteilung leiten, indem Du, in Zusammenarbeit mit den Gruppenleitern und anderen Abteilungen, eine starke Teamkultur entwickelst und pflegst.
Dazu gehören das Coachen, Motivieren, Managen und die technische Anleitung der Teammitglieder
Du unterstützt die Entwicklung und Pflege von Software-Testprozessen, die von unserem DevOps-Team durchgeführt werden
Du solltest dich um eine effektive Nutzung der technischen Ressourcen bemühen und eine hohe Qualität des entwickelten Codes gewährleisten
Als Abteilungsleiter berichtest Du direkt an den CEO

Deine Stärken

Abgeschlossenes Master- oder Doktoratsstudium im Bereich Software Engineering, Informatik oder ähnlichem Fachgebiet
Du bist ein sehr erfahrener Senior in den Bereichen Softwaretechnologie, Entwicklungsmethoden und -tools, Softwarearchitektur, CI/CD, Embedded Linux und C++
Außerdem verfügst Du über fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich Embedded Hard- und Software
Du verpflichtest Dich, Zeitpläne und Meilensteine einzuhalten und diesen Mindset in allen Teams zu verbreiten
Daher verfügst Du neben einer starken Motivation und einer ergebnisorientierten Persönlichkeit auch über ausgeprägte soziale Kompetenzen und Führungsqualitäten
Du besitzt ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und bist in der Lage, Führungsrollen zu übernehmen und Feedback zu organisieren
Neben fließenden Englischkenntnissen wären Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil
